Why teams pier up with us

Same Google Workspace. A considerably better ride.

Buying licences is the easy part. What actually determines whether email works on Monday morning is the migration plan, the DNS records and the person who picks up when something looks wrong. Desk Pier gives you all three under one agreement.

01

Better value than buying direct

Reseller agreements, annual commitment structuring and licence-count reviews mean you carry only the seats you actually use — and you get onboarding, migration and support folded into the same relationship instead of billed as extras.

02

Expert migration, no lost mail

We move mailboxes, calendars, contacts and shared drives from Microsoft 365, Exchange, Zoho or legacy IMAP with a staged dual-delivery cutover. Users keep working while data copies in the background.

03

Deliverability configured properly

SPF, DKIM and DMARC published, aligned and monitored — plus MX, autodiscover and subdomain policy. We start in monitoring mode, read the reports and move you to enforcement once the traffic is clean.

04

24/7 support from real people

Round-the-clock coverage by engineers who hold admin context on your tenant. No tier-one scripts, no re-explaining your topology — open a ticket and the reply comes from someone who already knows your setup.

Direct vs. reseller

Why buy Workspace through Desk Pier

Google sells the platform. A reseller sells the outcome — a tenant that is migrated, hardened, documented and supported. Here is what sits inside our side of the agreement.

Included with every plan

One partner, from first mailbox to full rollout

You get a named account manager, an onboarding engineer and a support queue staffed around the clock — all covered by your licence agreement rather than sold as a separate professional-services engagement.

  • Tenant audit and rollout plan before any change
  • Written runbook handed to your IT team
  • Quarterly licence and security review

Migration from Microsoft 365, Exchange or legacy Gmail

We inventory every mailbox, alias, distribution list and shared calendar first, then run a staged copy with dual delivery so nothing is stranded mid-cutover. Public folders, resource calendars and archived PSTs are mapped explicitly rather than left to chance.

Admin console setup done the way it should be

Organisational units that mirror your real structure, delegated admin roles with least privilege, context-aware access rules, group policy, device enrolment and app allow-lists — configured, tested and documented before your users ever sign in.

Deliverability that survives the inbox filters

SPF flattened and kept inside the lookup limit, DKIM signed at the right key length, DMARC introduced in monitoring mode and advanced to enforcement once reports are clean. We keep watching the aggregate reports afterwards, not just on day one.

Gemini AI inside Workspace, enabled responsibly

We turn on the AI features your edition includes, scope them per organisational unit, and brief your team on where generated content is appropriate. Data-handling settings are reviewed with you before rollout, not after someone asks.

Local billing and clean invoicing

One consolidated invoice in your own currency, issued locally with the tax details your finance team needs for filing. Seat additions and removals are reconciled on a single statement instead of arriving as a scatter of card charges.

A dedicated account manager who knows your tenant

One named contact who holds the history of your deployment — the OU layout, the exceptions you asked for, the third-party tools relaying through your domain. Renewals, growth planning and edition changes go through the same person.

How it works

Three steps from enquiry to live

Most teams go from first call to fully migrated within a fortnight. Larger tenants get a phased plan with named cutover windows.

1

Scope and quote

A short discovery call covers headcount, current mail platform, domains in play, storage needs and any compliance obligations. You get a written recommendation with the right edition per user group and a quote scoped to your seat count and term.

Typically 1–2 days

2

Provision and migrate

We provision the tenant, verify domains, build the OU and group structure, then run the migration in staged waves with dual delivery so users keep sending and receiving throughout. Records are published and tested before the MX flip.

Typically 3–10 days

3

Harden and support

2FA enforcement, DMARC progression, DLP rules and admin alerting go live, your team receives the runbook and a short training session, and the account moves into 24/7 support with quarterly reviews from your account manager.

Security & deliverability

Configured to land in inboxes and stay out of the wrong hands

Email security and email deliverability are the same problem viewed from two directions. Authenticate your domain properly and legitimate mail arrives while spoofed mail does not. We treat both as one workstream.

SPF, DKIM & DMARC

Published, aligned and validated across every sending source — Workspace, your CRM, your billing platform and any marketing tool relaying on your behalf. Aggregate reports are reviewed before enforcement.

2FA and phishing-resistant sign-in

Two-step verification enforced by organisational unit, security keys or passkeys for admins and finance, session length policy, and login challenges tuned so travelling staff are not locked out mid-trip.

DLP and content controls

Rules that detect card numbers, identifiers and confidential document patterns before they leave the organisation, with warn-or-block actions, external sharing limits and quarantine review for the exceptions.

Admin controls and audit trail

Least-privilege admin roles, context-aware access by device and location, retention policy through Vault where your edition allows, plus alerting on suspicious sign-ins and mass-download events.

In their words

Teams that made the crossing

We moved 240 mailboxes off Exchange over one weekend and nobody in the company noticed except the finance team, who finally got a single invoice. The dual-delivery window meant sales kept quoting straight through the cutover.

Rhea MalhotraHead of IT, Northquay Logistics

Our outbound had been landing in spam for months and two vendors had shrugged at it. Desk Pier found a broken SPF chain and an unsigned relay in about a day, then walked our DMARC policy up to enforcement over three weeks.

Daniel OkoroOperations Director, Halcyon Labs

What sold us was the runbook. Every OU, every routing rule and every exception written down and handed over. When we hired an internal admin a year later, she was productive on our tenant in an afternoon.

Questions

Frequently asked

Request a quote and we'll share pricing tailored to your team size. What you pay depends on the edition, your seat count, your commitment term and whether any user groups need a different tier — so we scope it properly rather than quoting a number that turns out to be wrong for you. Migration, configuration and 24/7 support are included in the agreement.

No. We run a staged migration with dual delivery, which means mail is delivered to both the old and new platforms while data copies across in the background. Users keep working the whole time. Once the copy is verified and the new tenant is receiving cleanly, we flip the MX records and run a final delta sync to catch anything that arrived during the switch.

Yes — that is the normal case. Your domain stays with whichever registrar you already use; we verify it inside Workspace and publish the required MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records. Every existing address, alias, distribution list and shared mailbox is recreated, and we can add secondary domains or domain aliases in the same pass.

A team of ten to fifty users is usually live within a week, with the cutover itself taking a couple of hours over a quiet window. Several hundred mailboxes with archives, shared drives and third-party integrations typically runs two to four weeks in phased waves. We give you a dated plan before anything is touched.

Always. The tenant belongs to you and your super-admin account stays under your control. We hold delegated admin access to do the work you ask for, and you can adjust or revoke that at any time. Many customers hand day-to-day user administration to us and keep policy decisions in-house — either model works.

You reach an engineer, not a queue. Support runs 24/7 with defined response targets for mail-flow incidents, and the on-call team already holds documented context on your tenant. Where an issue needs Google's own engineering, we raise and manage the partner escalation on your behalf and keep you updated until it closes.
